The Ergo 5 shares many of the features of the Wire and Shot models. The Twelve Carbon Composite sole, whilst not as light as that found on the Wire, has been specifically designed to cradle the foot perfectly, lending great levels of both comfort and performance. In addition to the comfort offered by the generous padding in the tongue, SIDI have also greatly improved their insole. The system allows for millimetre precise adjustment for a perfect fit. The Ergo 5 sees an upgrade from the 2-way caliper ratchet and twin velcro strap on the lesser models, to the Tecno 3 closure system. The system allows for millimetre precise adjustment for a fit. Sidi's legendary customisable comfort and fit are of course a main feature of the Ergo 5. Similar to BOA closures so popular in the market now, the Tecno 3 uses wires to evenly spread load over the shoe. It has long been part of SIDI's range and offers the rider an additional level of fit at the heel. The Sidi Ergo 5 is - in this man's opinion - probably the best value shoe in the range. A small allen key adjusts the system which wraps around the heel for more or less grip depending on the foot and which helps to reduce heel slip and rub. The bottom of the closure is a single small velcro strap. The Ergo 5s deliver everything you could need for racing or sportives, club runs or solo ventures. In addition, the Sidi Ergo 5 features their Adjustable Heel Security System. The Ergo 5 shares many of the features of the Wire and Shot models.
