The new travel case is awesome! I’m very disappointed in how the sponge performs now. Before I absolutely loved it, but with this new design, or maybe this was just a fluke, I am very unimpressed. The RT logo holes are much bigger to allow more air flow which is likely due to a lot of complaints of mold and mildew easily growing (because people weren’t letting them air dry prior to enclosing in the case). I loved these sponges and I think they’re a great bargain and just as soft as the Beauty Blender, and not hard like a lot of other comparable sponges. I always get the one in the travel case so I can pop it in my makeup bag after letting it dry. The case is also made out of what feels like much more durable plastic. It is now VERY firm even when I completely saturate it with water. I replace them every couple of months.But... I have bought probably 5-7 of these over time, frequently changing them out for new ones, and I have never had this issue before.
